Ahoy, Edheads On-line

Apologies for the delayed monthly email, but we just returned from our 4th Edhead Cruise. Considering that this Cruise was originally supposed to go from New Orleans to Cozumel (two locations devastated by the recent hurricanes), and considering that Julie almost had to stay ashore because of her recent battle with breast cancer, you might say the odds were stacked against us. However, the cruise did happen. Boy, did it happen. Julie bounced back beautifully from her first chemo session and was the toast of the ship. The great Davidoff's at Fan Club Cruises successfully secured the alternative route of Tampa to Progreso, and the whole event went off without a hitch.... quite possibly our best ever: an ultra-friendly crew, a first rate ship, wonderful Edheads from all over the country, and gorgeous weather. Highlights included piano bar raids, Robbie's head-shaving clinic, first ever EFO Karaoke performances, Eddie's boycott of the song "Hot Hot Hot", Mike's third degree burns, Julie's blonde wig debut (she still has her quaf, but had the wigs just in case), and the most pimped-out limo ride ever to and from Tampa's airport (thanks to Donald "The Donald" Davidoff).

You can read more about this incredible outing in Julie's upcoming November journal entry at the website.

STATUS OF SHOWS

Speaking of Julie, based on the chemotherapy schedule that is now set up, and based on her anticipated reaction to the treatments, we've already decided to cancel the following shows

Cancelled shows:
11/11 Logan, UT
11/13 Durango, CO
11/17 New York, NY
12/8 Carbondale, CO
12/9 Denver, CO
12/10 Fort Collins, CO
(no other shows have been cancelled at this juncture)

The Saturday, November 19 show at the Somerville Theatre in Somerville, MA is still on!
The Sunday, November 20 show at the Iron Horse will NOT be the full band, but rather a Robbie Schaefer solo show with Michael Clem opening. There will more than likely be some collaborative jamming and disturbing performance art that evening, as well.
(Details below)

THE BOYS IN THE BAND

With all the unexpected time off, the three lads of EFO have found different ways to keep busy. Robbie and Michael have been leaning heavily on singer-songwriter pal, Ellis Paul for some opening opportunities. This week, both R & M will open for Ellis at two different Virginia shows:

MICHAEL CLEM WORKING ON SOLO CD

You heard that right.... this is not an Internet hoax, the stage left bass player for EFO is in the process of finishing his first solo disc, with bandmate Eddie Hartness in the producer's seat. Look for an early 2006 release. Details coming soon.

HAZEL FOR SALE

Unfortunately, our current circumstances don't allow us to hold on to our beloved tour vehicle, Hazel the RV (barely a year old), so we have to sell it. Presently, it's posted on E-bay (see the URL below). If you're such a rabid Edhead that you'd like to own our old wheels for your private collection, by all means, make or bid.... or if you're just in need of 29 foot Recreational Vehicle. She's in great shape, and has had nowhere near the hard workout of her predecessor, Harvey the RV.

Please keep watching our website for details and updates (particulary the "What's New" tab on the main page). Thank you so much for your continued warm wishes for Julie and the whole band.
