Greetings, Edheads On-line

July was a month we'll remember for quite some time: Two amazing festivals (Hiawatha & Falcon Ridge); the final mixing of our ninth CD, and... well, the best thing to do is to peek at the journal entries on the website:

BIG HOMETOWN SHOW AT WOLF TRAP'S FILENE CENTER ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 28

It's been two years, but we're returning to mother of all venues - WOLF TRAP! Pavilion seats have been moving fast, and the lawn is not far behind. Opening the show will be Canadian fiddling sensation Natalie MacMaster. This should be quite a great finish to the Summer. Don't miss out. For tickets call 703-218-6500 or visit http://www.wolf-trap.org
**Though the new CD will not be out, we WILL have a special 3 song EP that will only be available at the Wolf Trap show.

EFO'S 9TH CD IS SCHEDULED FOR AN OCTOBER 19 RELEASE

After staying away from the master tapes for over a month, we re-visited the studio just the other week to conduct the final mixes of the songs ( for things such as volume level tweaking & dog bark purging). There are still the steps ahead of mastering, manufacturing and blimp inflating, but we feel safe in saying that we're darn proud of this one. You may have heard many of the songs in our live shows over the past months, but some will be completely new to even us. Apparently, custodial staff members of the studio cut tracks at night while we were out (think Shoemaker and the Elves).

** Again, though the official release date is slated for Oct 19, we will have a special 3-song EP available only at our big Wolf Trap show (as added incentive to join us for our biggest show of the year).

ROBBIE TO PLAY NYC ON WED, JULY 28

Our own Robbie Schaefer, in support of his fine new live solo CD, In the Flesh, will be playing New York City's Makor this Wednesday. Sharing the bill with Schaef, will be our good friend and exceptional talented Tracy Grammer. We just saw her at Falcon Ridge and are delighted to see her joined these days by our old friend, Massachussett's Jim Henry. This should be a great pairing - don't miss out - details are below.

EDHEAD CRUISE IV DATE TENTATIVELY SET FOR OCTOBER 2005, STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS

Though it's been recently announced through various outlets that the Fourth Edhead Cruise has been scheduled for Oct 13-17, 2005 - there's a chance it might be changed due to scheduling conflicts. Please stay tuned for details.
