Our second live album, and like "Portable EFO Show", a double disc. Unlike Portable, it's packed with guest artists. Recorded during the Spring & Summer of 2002 at three different shows, "Three Rooms" is loaded with your EFO faves. The release date is February 11 --- BUT -- you can check out the Bulletproof Advance Order Special by visiting: http://www.bulletproofstore.com There's more info about "Three Rooms" as well as sound samples at our new website. ...ABOUT THAT NEW WEBSITE This past month we've launched our new and improved website, and the response has been... well, overwhelming. Most of it has been very positive, and we thank you for your kind words. There have also been a number of ideas, criticisms, suggestions, and death threats, too. While many different opinions poured in (and believe us, we DO value the input), the three most common requests were for: 1. Non-flash viewing capabilities 2. More nude photos of the band 3. Non-flash viewing capabilities We've decided to jump on two of these. Presently, our web designers are laboring over an alternative for those who wish to view our site strictly in HTML. We thank you for your patience, and please remember that our new site is definitely a "work in progress". We hope to have the HTML option up soon. Please continue to share your input. We thank you for your ideas. There are a number of other changes on the horizon, too (ie. the MP3 site, which has disappeared, but will hopefully re-surface in the not too distant future). HOWEVER, PLEASE DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, attempt to approach an actual band member in person regarding the technical matters of the website. The minute you start in on a slew of acronyms & .snot jargon, all they'll hear is "Blah, blah, blah..." while smiling politely. They are truly a bunch of analog ignoramuses who only know how to play their instruments & sing. Thank you. LA! In the meantime, we're still at http://www.eddiefromohio.com BIG HOMETOWN CD RELEASE AT HISTORIC WARNER THEATRE, SATURDAY, MARCH 1 It's more than a month away, and it's amazing how fast tickets are already moving for this event! On Saturday, March 1, EFO will be joined by the fabulous musicians who helped to make "Three Rooms" such an audio delight. Jon Carroll (keys) and John Jennings (guitars) will hold down The Wall of Jo(h)n Sound, while the great Fillmore Horns will reconvene for another fine session. Anyone who attended our memorable Warner show in October, 2001 will remember what a great hall it truly is. Well, the band is back. The band is bigger......and this time...IT'S PERSONAL! Don't miss this one. Details are below. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com or by calling 202/432-SEAT. LOTS O' GREAT SHOWS IN FEBRUARY This weekend, we'll be shuffling up and down the Hudson River for 2 shows. Next week, it's down to the SouthEast, for a sentimental stop at one of our favorite EFO landmarks: Eddie's Attic in Decatur, Georgia. Back in 1994, owner Eddie Owen took us in when no other club owner outside our hometown would give us the time of day. While Eddie has since sold the place, the great Attic spirit is still there. While it is a small and intimate room (and we're only doing one show), please know that Advance Tickets are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Details are below about how you can get those. This Friday show is sandwiched by two dates in the Carolinas. Thursday will be our first-ever appearance in Columbia, SC, while Saturday has us returning to the fine campus of Davidson College (NC). The following week, we swing through Tennessee (details below), and the following week we're bound for the MidWest for some big shows. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20 AT THE MICHIGAN THEATER Ann Arbor, MI has rapidly become one of our biggest stops on the national circuit. This next visit has us moving into one of the town's finest rooms, The Michigan Theater. While celebrating the release of our new CD, it will have been a year and a half since our last appearance in AA. To top that off, coming off his first ever Ann Arbor Folk Fest last weekend, will be the amazing Wonder from Down Under, Jeff Lang. This is a guitar virtuoso not to be missed. Hopefully we can load 'em with enuf Fosters to play a tune or two with us, in addition to his own fine opening set. Lang: Australian for "Amazing". (Details below) ST. LOUIS & AMES, IOWA AMONG MIDWEST STOPS We're also looking forward to a return to the ever hospitable St. Louis at the Sheldon Concert Hall. This will be our first time at this fine venue (details below) and our first time back in a year and half. It doesn't happen that often, but every once in a while, the chance to promote a show to the email list slips through our grasp. This is the case with our Maintenance Shop in Ames, IA which has already SOLD OUT!! Sorry bout that. Should anything change, or tickets become available, we'll try to post it on our website. You can also check in with the Mshop site - details below. EFO TO PERFORM FREE IN-STORES AT BORDERS BOOKS & MUSIC Just like with "Quick", we'll be performing at a few select Borders to promote the new CD, sing a few songs, and sign some swag. Come on out. You can't beat the price. Details are below. More Borders appearances are slated for March and April. TAKIN' IT TO THE STREET TEAM Since announcing the open-recruiting for the EFO Street Team, the response has been overwhelming. If you're interested, check out the details at our site. http://www.eddiefromohio.com MAKE PLANS FOR THE THIRD EDHEAD CRUISE !! Edhead Cruise III will take place November 13-17, 2003. It will be a four day cruise this time, as opposed to three. One of the most exciting things is the point of origin and return: NEW ORLEANS!!! This leaves a whole lotta potential for N'awlins Nonsense on both sides of the trip. The cruise will go from N.O. to Cozumel and back aboard Carnival's Holiday ship. Details are posted at http://www.belairtrav.com/efocrus.htm Reservations are already pourin' in --- Don't miss the boat!!! (If nautical nonsense be something you wish...) We hope to see ya at a show soon, Folk On! juliemikeeddie&robbie ============================================================== lateJANUARY - F E B R U A R Y - earlyMARCH - 2 0 0 3 ============================================================== Friday January 31, 2003 The Egg http://www.theegg.org Address: Empire Arts Center @ Empire State Plaza, Swyer Theater, Albany, NY Phone: (518) 473-1845 Ages: All Show time: 8:15 PM Tickets: Call number above during box office hours or http://www.ticketmaster.com/artist/791462/ Saturday February 1, 2003 Paramount Theatre http://www.paramountcenter.org Address: 1008 Brown Street, Peekskill, NY Phone: (914) 739-2333 Ages: All Show time: 8:00 PM co-bill with Nerissa and Katryna Nields Tickets: call box office at number above Mon-Fri 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Thursday, February 6, 2003 The Senate Park http://senatepark.com Address: 931 B Senate Street, Columbia, SC Phone: (803)254-3302 Showtime: 8:00 PM Tickets: http://www2.etix.com/ticket/online/index.html Friday, February 7, 2003 Eddie's Attic http://www.eddiesattic.com/index.html Address: 515-B North McDonough Street, Decatur, GA Phone: (404)377-4976 Ages: 21 and up Show time: 8:00 PM Tickets: Tickets onsale through their web site since Friday, January 24th HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - they're going fast!
