RED SOX WIN! RED SOX WIN! RED SOX WIN!

Greetings from somewhere just outside Atlanta. We are rolling into town in our brand-spanking-new-yet-to-be-named RV to play a show at the Variety Playhouse with Todd Snider. We've known Todd for a few years and are big fans as well, so we're looking forward to a great evening.

Whew! What a week it's been for us. This past Tuesday our ninth cd, This Is Me, was released. We're awful proud of this one and are excited to hit the road and share the new songs with everyone. Also, along with the release of the cd, we've had an overhaul of our website (um, I guess if you're reading this you know that already). Add to that the aforementioned RV purchase, and, well, we could use a nap! No rest for the weary though. We kicked off the release of the cd with a?old out show at the Birchmere in our hometown of Alexandria, VA. It was a really special show: we played the whole new cd as well as some older tunes, we had a 30 minute Q and A with the audience in the middle of the show, and we brought out our new marketing piece de resistance--a 4x6-foot posterboard cutout of the album cover with a hole cut into it so fans can stick their heads through and take a picture as if they were actually on the cover with the band!!!!?rilliant? Maybe. Ingenius? Perhaps. Ridiculous and self indulgent? Absol tely. But guess which band member was the first to stick his/her butt through the hole instead of his/her head?. Ha! Ha! Funny guy! Ahem.

Anyhow, we kept moving with a show in Greenville, SC at the Handlebar last night and after Atlanta tonight, we'll be heading on to Birmingham, AL. By the way, I just watched Secret Window with Johnny Depp and John Turturro in the RV (yeah, we've got a TV and a DVD player people. Who says folk is non-profit?). Good movie, based on a Stephen King short story. I don't know, but for my money Johnny Depp is about as cool as cool gets. If I were a woman, I'd want him something fierce, and if I were a man. . .um, well, you get the idea.

So, here we are: new cd, new RV, new website, and, oh, Mike has new pants. Life is good. Come visit sometime. Buy our cd, we'll give you a kiss (you know us-- we'll probably do that with or without the cd purchase). Oh, and one more thing. . .GO SOX.
